Vice President, Head of Technical Operations, Media Rights & Distribution @ IMG
We've all heard the stories about the business deals that happen on the golf course or at a family gathering; it's a reality of working in a patriarchal business structure that has traditionally created barriers to the progression of women. Despite strides towards equality for women working across all sectors, and the fact that many of these sexist practices are becoming a thing of the past, informal social networks are still responsible for the support and progression of many professionals, predominantly to the benefit of men. But don't despair, help is at hand! In this session, we will hear hints and tips for how to extend your professional network and build enduring working relationships that help you to reach your career goals, without needing to perfect your swing (unless you want to of course!)

Margot Harley
CEO @ Rowing New South Wales
Less than a quarter of all leadership roles in the world are held by women. Even less in sport. Many complain that there aren’t enough women wanting to lead or who have the experience to. How do we fix this? How do women navigate the male dominated world of sport and take their place at the top from their first job to the corner office?
Margot Harley will use this session to share how she set about unclogging her leadership pipeline of all the personal doubts, internal and external blocks and how she changed the leadership conversation on the way from an intern to CEO and how any women wanting to lead can do the same.

Mel Bound
Founder @ This Mum Runs
Mums. The most influential in the family for brands and marketeers.
When it comes to sport though, mums are largely overlooked. And with research showing that 80% of girls are active if their mums are, never has it been more critical to engage and connect with these women, through the power of community, to inspire long-term social change.
Becoming a mother is one of the most significant moments in a women’s life. With limited advice about how to exercise during and after pregnancy, and with the pressures of work, life and family to juggle, lots of mums simply stop being active.
Mel Bound, founder of multi award-winning running community This Mum Runs shares her journey from exercising every day pre-kids to complete inactivity after having children. A desperate plea on Facebook for a running buddy led to 75 women turning up to meet Mel for a run and This Mum Runs was born.
Now with 80,000 runners globally, a thriving online and offline community, hundreds of free runs for Mums across the country every week and a successful merchandise brand, This Mum Runs, recognised as one of the Top One Hundred Most Influential Communities in the World, has changed the game.
